The Music Makers Big Show Band consists of over 20 professional musicians, skillfully directed by Harris Lanzel, one of the area's top conductors. Whether you are planning LIVE music for thousands or designing a dinner/dance, we can make it a success with top hits from the 30's to the present. We tailor our performances to your needs, whether it be primarily for dance or more of a concert setting.

 

The Music Makers Big Show Band provides the perfect entertainment for Weddings, Banquets, Birthday Parties, Casinos, Fund Raisers, Grand Openings, Dances, Anniversaries, Christmas Parties, Clubs, Community Events, Conventions, Corporate Functions, Country Clubs, Dinner Dances, Festivals, Hotels, Private Parties, Proms, Resorts, Restaurants, and Reunions.

 

The Music Makers give back to the community in the form of free "Concerts in the Park" throughout the year at Cambier Park in Naples and also financially supports jazz education in Collier County High Schools.

 

The Music Makers Show Band is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization with a dual mission:

1) To promote, preserve, and perform American big band music of the mid-1900s

2) To financially support jazz education in Collier County high schools.

 

The Music Makers Show Band is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and welcomes your generous contributions.

 

Art Blatt – Director and Trombonist

Art Blatt received his Bachelors degree in Music Education and Master's Degree in Performance from Temple University in Philadelphia. He has performed as a trombonist with the San Antonio Symphony and various orchestras in the Philadelphia area. His experience includes playing opera, concerts and variety shows. He played for headline stars including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Milton Berle, Bobby Darin, Burt Bacharach, Liza Minelli, and many other headliners in the Philadelphia, New York and Atlantic City area. Art’s vast jazz experience includes playing with the big bands of Thad Jones-Mel Lewis, Buddy Rich and Tex Beneke. He is also well known as a dynamic Dixieland Jazz musician on both trombone and tuba. He has been playing trombone for the Music Makers for several years and now takes over as the new Director for the 2013-2014 performance season.
